Franko was called into full-time ministry in 2000. He graduated from the Alliance College of Australia in Canberra in 2003. In September 2004, he began a church-planting ministry in the southern area of Sydney and continued to lead the church, Sydney South Alliance Church, until the end of 2025. In February 2026, he began serving as the Director of Chinese Churches Ministry of C&MA Australia. In his current role, he works closely with the President to support pastors and member churches of the Australian Chinese Alliance Churches Committee of C&MA Australia.

Franko is married to Louise, and they have been blessed with two children. He enjoys playing badminton and riding bikes.
